Across a variety of media, Libby Wadsworth uses language, both visual and verbal, as the subject and primary material of her work. Drawing from the dictionary, literature, the newspaper, art history, and domestic life, she uses language as a lens to explore the structures that shape and frame our perceptions and understandings but which we often overlook or simply look through.
Wadsworth lives in Eugene, Oregon and is an artist member of Ditch Projects and the Eugene Printmakers. Her work has been shown in numerous venues across the U.S. most recently in the Artist Project Space of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art at University of Oregon. She earned an MFA from the University of Chicago, a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA from Williams College.
